About The Fading Light Saga, Lucid, and working with K.P. Aubrys

For Readers
Chains (Book 1 of The Fading Light Saga) is available in ebook and hardcover through curios.com/KPAubrys. An audiobook isn't available yet, but it's planned for the future — keep an eye on the newsletter for updates.
The Fading Light Saga is planned as 6 main books, a prequel, 2–3 spinoffs, and 3 companion journals:
  • Main books: read in strict order — they build directly on each other.
  • Companion journals: written alongside Book 1's timeline, so you can read them during Book 1 or anytime after — no strict placement.
  • Prequel: not written yet (planned after the main 6 are finished). Once it's out, it's entirely up to you whether you read it before or after the main series.
  • Spinoffs: can be read anytime after Book 1.
Everything published so far is listed in reading order on the Books page.
Only Chains is published so far, with the rest of the saga still being written. The best way to hear about new releases as they happen is to sign up for the newsletter on the Contact page.
The Fading Light Saga is written for adult readers, though mature teens may enjoy it as well.
Content warning (Chains, Book 1): Contains violence and gore, including graphic depictions of murder and bloodshed. References crimes against children, portrayed within a context of justice and reckoning rather than glorification. Themes of grief and loss are present, including the death of a parent and the loss of a stillborn child.
I'd love that! If you're in the Chicagoland area, or wherever I happen to be visiting, I'm happy to meet up at a Starbucks. Just reach out to AuthorKPAubrys@gmail.com to arrange it — travel is on your own dime, but the coffee chat is always worth it to me. Can't make a meetup work? A signed copy is also available through the same link as my other books, curios.com/KPAubrys — the small price difference just covers the extra shipping.
I'm self-published. And an agent? Not yet — are you offering? 😄
For Libraries & Bookstores
Yes. I price books the same for libraries as for individual readers, and once a copy is purchased, it's yours to keep — no metered licenses, no expiring checkouts, and no re-purchasing down the line.
My books print directly through the printer rather than through Ingram — the page count runs longer than Ingram is able to print. Order directly at curios.com/KPAubrys, or reach out to me directly at AuthorKPAubrys@gmail.com and I'll help make sure you get what you need.
Yes — if you're ordering multiple copies for a library, school, or store, reach out to AuthorKPAubrys@gmail.com and I'll work out a good rate with you directly.
I'd love to talk about it — every school and library is a little different, so email me at AuthorKPAubrys@gmail.com and we can figure out details together.
