Peek Behind the Curtain

This page is basically what I am actively working on at any given time.

The Fading Light Saga

Chains

What a difference a couple of weeks makes.

The ebook is now live, paperback and hardcover preorders are available, and proof copies are officially on their way to me. Those are expected to arrive around June 18th-19th. As long as everything looks good when they arrive, preorders will move into production immediately afterward and begin shipping.

Signed editions are now available as well. The signed copies are $10 more than the standard editions, and that increase is almost entirely due to shipping. At 942 pages, Chains is an absolute brick of a book. Each copy has to be shipped to me for signing and then shipped back out to the reader, which costs approximately $9.40 each way. The additional charge simply helps cover that extra shipping while still allowing me to personally sign the books before they head to their new homes.

The global rollout hit an unexpected snag due to an IngramSpark issue that I am actively working to resolve. Unfortunately, the current Amazon listing is displaying incorrect metadata and is connected to an outdated file.

Because of that, I am asking readers to please hold off on purchasing through Amazon until I give the all-clear. I don’t want anyone accidentally receiving the wrong version of the book or encountering inaccurate information.

The current Amazon listing is also displaying outdated pricing. Once the correct files have been uploaded and the listing has been updated, the pricing will be adjusted to match the pricing available through my Curios store, so there is no pricing advantage to waiting for the Amazon version.

If you would like to support me directly, purchasing through my Curios store makes the biggest difference. Like most authors, I receive only a small percentage of the sale price through many third-party retailers. Purchases made through Curios allow far more of that support to go directly toward funding future books, artwork, maps, merchandise, and the continued growth of The Fading Light Saga.

I know some readers may prefer Amazon because of international shipping. The good news is that my print partner also offers global shipping. If you live outside the United States and are interested in a physical copy, feel free to reach out to me and I will help get you the correct pricing for your region. We can figure it out together!

Once everything has been corrected and verified, I’ll post an update letting everyone know that Amazon and the other retailers are ready to go.

For now, the best place to purchase the ebook, paperback, hardcover, and signed editions is through my Curios store:

On the website side, the entire Book 1 reader guide is now complete! The character guide, locations guide, timeline, gods, species, and lore sections have all been finished. Future books will expand the guide further, but the Book 1 encyclopedia is officially complete.

Chains is also now listed on Goodreads! If you’ve been following the journey, please consider adding the book to your shelves, following my author profile, or leaving a rating or review. Every interaction helps new readers discover the series and makes a bigger difference than most people realize.

Thank you to everyone who has followed along, shared posts, joined the community, purchased a copy, or simply cheered me on. This dream has been years in the making, and seeing it finally become reality has been incredible.

Ashes (Book 2)

Work on Ashes is officially underway.

Right now I am outlining the opening of the book and working through the first five chapters to make sure the pacing, character arcs, and structure feel right before I jump fully into drafting.

Once I am happy with the outline, I’ll begin writing.

And honestly? I cannot wait.

I’ve spent months editing, formatting, building the website, creating the encyclopedia, fixing covers, managing distribution, and preparing for launch. As exciting as all of that has been, I am ready to get back to telling the story.

There are scenes in Ashes that I have been looking forward to writing for a very long time, and after everything that happened in Chains, I am incredibly excited to see where these characters go next.

My goal is to move much faster this time around. Chains took roughly ten months to write, edit, format, and publish. Now that I’ve been through the process once and have so much of the world already established, I’m hoping to have Ashes drafted within the next several months and ready for editing shortly after.

More updates soon.

Lucid

I am in the process of outlining the book. I am *checks notes* eleven chapters into outlining the book. I usually don’t outline too far in advance in order for my story to develop organically but this one is very different since I am pulling from my own life experiences and even traumas. I will be putting this one on the back burner until Ashes is complete then in between working on Ashes and book 3 I will go back to this. It goes in a complete different direction and isn’t even fantasy. Had I thought of this book series prior to starting The Fading Light Saga, I feel like it would have been snatched up by an agent while The Fading Light Saga is too massive to be a debut author risk. We’ll see!

While it does have a few tools that use AI it is mostly just a lot of data in one place pulled from offline or added to things using forms. Most of the features are AI free. If you are against AI you can avoid using the AI features as I am going to be coding in an AI feature hide toggle as well.

This Website

I am working hard at filling in the guide pages for The Fading Light Saga. I want them to be all encompassing without giving spoilers. Basically like the guide book released with the Wheel of Time but since it is online, it is going to be updated with each book. Unfortunately the guide to The Wheel of Time was released somewhere in the middle of the series so it didn’t have everything in it and I want to avoid that. Oncsete the series is complete, I will bundle it all into an actual physical book that can be purchased to go alongside the set.

Social Media

Working to grow my following on my FB group, tiktok and Instagram. I started a patreon but I haven’t done much with it yet as I don’t have followers. I also have a goodreads and will be claiming my author goodreads once my ISBN goes live. I will share that on here on my contact me page. Please follow me wherever you can!
